We champion founders with novel technologies, supporting them to reshape industries and decarbonise our Earth

Twynam has been investing in climate tech since the beginning of the century. We’re laser focussed on identifying technologies that can move the needle on climate change. But we don’t want to invest in the obvious. We put our money, time and support into companies solve the truly difficult decarbonisation problems. That means bold ideas, remarkable teams and businesses that make sense.

Beyond the field

Twynam’s roots trace back to 1969 in steel trading. Growing into Agriculture, Twynam became a global player in cotton, grain, rice and water management. Johnny Kahlbetzer, the second generation and current CEO, diversified the business and transformed the way he thought about business. Twynam funded the first set of research into enteric methane vaccines in the 90's and since COP 4, has been investing in Climate.

In 2023, Twynam spun out a funds management business with the view that technology should be looking at our hardest challenges - not the low hanging fruit. We’re committed to finding the best and most passionate founders in the sectors that really matter for our Earth.
